Maximize your Purpose!

Life - Becoming A Better You

Max Your Purpose With Your Gift.

Some of the biggest questions we ask ourselves are, "Why was I created? What is my purpose? What does God expect from me?" We often search for answers through trial and error, and sometimes we hit the jackpot and become successful right off the bat.

One of my favorite stories to tell is the journey of the Monarch Butterfly. These tiny insects never got the message that they were too small to accomplish a 3,000-mile journey. They face obstacles that could end their journey at any point. Yet, they have a remarkable navigation system that guides them every mile. Their GPS includes rest times, wind direction advantages, and even when to catch free rides.

The Bible – God's word is the best GPS system known to man. "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Ps 119:105, KJV) His word will direct our path, strengthen our wings, and restore our soul. Everything we need to be successful is packed in these pages. When we invite God into our hearts, the spirit of man and the Holy Spirit work together to lead us to our purpose. The Holy Spirit will guide us to all truth.

In addition to spiritual insights, engaging in emotional wellness workshops can empower us to navigate life's challenges. God will protect our hearts and never leave or forsake us, even when it looks hopeless, we feel helpless, or defeated. How AWESOME is that? Trust God! Do not give up. Keep a Bible nearby. Make reading and studying the Bible a part of your daily plan alongside utilizing spiritual growth resources and women’s success training. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. What a Team! With the Trinity, you got this!

Be Encouraged By Friendships

I no longer call you servants… Instead, I have called you friends.

John 15:15

🕊️ The Sacred Gift of Friendship:

A Biblical Reflection

Friendship is more than companionship—it is a divine gift, woven into the fabric of creation and modeled throughout scripture as a source of strength, joy, and spiritual growth. From the Garden of Eden to the ministry of Jesus, the Bible reveals friendship as a sacred bond that reflects God’s love and invites us into deeper communion with one another.

🌿 Friendship Begins with God

The Bible opens with a relational God who walks with Adam in the cool of the day (Genesis 3:8). This intimacy sets the tone: we were created for connection. In John 15:15, Jesus says to His disciples, “I no longer call you servants… Instead, I have called you friends.” This radical shift reveals that friendship with God is not only possible—it is central to the Christian life.

🤝 Biblical Models of Friendship

Throughout scripture, we encounter friendships that embody loyalty, sacrifice, and spiritual alignment:

  • David and Jonathan: Their bond defied politics and personal risk. Scripture says, “Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself” (1 Samuel 18:1). Their covenant friendship teaches us that true friends protect, uplift, and remain faithful—even in adversity.
  • Ruth and Naomi: Ruth’s vow, "Where you go, I will go… your God will be my God” (Ruth 1:16), is a testament to enduring love and shared faith. Their intergenerational friendship reveals how loyalty can birth legacy.
  • Jesus and His Disciples: Jesus didn’t just teach His followers—He lived with them, laughed with them, wept with them. His friendship was intimate and sacrificial, culminating in the cross. “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (John 15:13).

💬 The Power of Words and Presence

Proverbs is rich with wisdom on friendship:

  • “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity” (Proverbs 17:17).
  • “Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful”     (Proverbs 27:6).

True friends speak truth in love, offer correction with compassion, and remain present through trials. Their words are balm, their presence a shelter.

🌟 Friendship as Ministry

Friendship is not just personal—it’s missional. When we embody Christlike friendship, we become vessels of healing and hope. Paul’s letters overflow with gratitude for his friends in ministry: Timothy, Silas, Priscilla, Aquila. These relationships fueled the early church and remind us that friendship is a form of spiritual partnership.

🙌 A Call to Cultivate Holy Friendship

In a world of fleeting connections, the Bible calls us to cultivate friendships rooted in grace, truth, and mutual honor. These relationships are not distractions from our spiritual walk—they are part of it. They reflect the heart of God, who desires that we walk together, bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and rejoice in shared victories.

Friendship, in its truest form, is a mirror of divine love. It is a sanctuary where souls are known, nurtured, and transformed. May we cherish it, steward it, and offer it freely—just as Christ has offered His friendship to us.
